Medically Fragile Foster Care

Judson Center serves children in foster care who are medically fragile or have a chronic disorder or developmental disability. This service is often referred to as Treatment Foster Care or Therapeutic Foster Care (TFC).

Recently, Model D Media interviewed Judson Center Chief Strategy Officer, Khadija Walker-F0bbs and Foster Care Program Director, Michelle Carlton about the work we do to care for these children and support the incredible foster and adoptive parents who have said “yes” to caring for these children and teens.

The Michigan’s Medically Fragile Foster Care Analysis and Planning Project (MI-MFFC) was created to improve foster care for these children and it’s an honor to serve alongside other community organizations to see children in foster care and their families thriving.
