Judson Center Celebrates 100 Years at “A Night to Embrace” Centennial Gala on Nov 1st
Event supports programs for children, families and individuals
Farmington Hills, MI – Judson Center is inviting supporters to enjoy a night of food, fun and entertainment at the human service agency’s 100th anniversary celebration on Friday, November 1 from 5:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. at The Henry, 300 Town Center Drive in Dearborn.
Judson Center’s “A Night to Embrace” Centennial Gala is presented by PNC Bank and chaired by Michael Bickers, Regional President for PNC Bank in Detroit and Southeast Michigan. CBS News Detroit Anchor Sandra Ali and retired FOX 2 Detroit Anchor Huel Perkins are the emcees for the evening.
Money raised from the annual gala supports Judson Center’s mission of providing unwavering care for children, adults and families in the areas of autism, behavioral and primary healthcare, disability services, foster care, adoption, and mentoring.
“This year’s event has been a century in the making,” said Judson Center President & CEO Lenora Hardy-Foster. “We are so excited. When you think about being a nonprofit human service provider that has been able to sustain ourselves for 100 years, that means so much to us. I think, if anything, it tells the story of a nonprofit that has been creative and innovative over a remarkable span.”
Earlier this year, Judson Center launched its anniversary celebration with an inspirational awareness campaign titled, “Where Care Is An Art,” in partnership with Doner Detroit. Ten local artists were paired with Judson Center clients to create powerful works of art illustrating the clients’ journey to hope and healing through the agency’s life-changing services. The artwork will be on display at the Centennial Gala.
The evening will include a gourmet dinner, cocktails and hors d’oeuvres, live and silent auctions, a raffle, entertainment by Dal Bouey Productions, and dancing. Attire is black tie optional and valet service is complimentary.
The gala’s planning committee co-chairs are members of Judson Center’s Board of Trustees: Janelle Morck, Managing Director at Hilb Group/CIA Insurance and Risk Management, and Olivia McLaughlin, Troy Community Foundation Executive Director.
